This is a very nice set Clive of India [1725-1774] was one of the key figures in the creation of British India. As well as being seen as a great administrator he was also a highly skilled military commander with one of his greatest successes being victory in the Battle of Plassy. These memoirs were constructed from the papers held by Clive's eldest son, Edward, Earl of Powis. ID250264
