Previous owners name to ffep of both volumes. Also signed by Hugh Stretton on ffep of each volume. 621, 581 pages Charles à Court Repington (1858-1925), a former British soldier, with service in Afghanistan, Burma and the Sudan. He also served as a staff officer during the South African War of 1899-1902. After leaving the Army he became a military correspondent with The Times and later the Morning Post. He gained renown during the First World War as a journalist, exposing the so-called 'shell scandal' in 1915. ID229043 Price:
